Barclays Bank of Kenya leased space at West End Building along Waiyaki Way Nairobi for its new Headquarters Office with an area of approximately 5,544m².
Triad Architects were involved in the interior fit out that covered 8 floors. The fit out included design of a variety of offices and open plan spaces, a server room, bulk filing rooms, cafeteria, board room, as well as various sized meeting rooms.
Gypsum partitions were used for the general office partitions and masonry for server and bulk filing rooms. Raised floor plans and acoustic ceilings were used in all areas for convenient access for services and gypsum ceiling to create design features.
Several services were incorporated in the design such as specialized air conditioning, access control, building management systems, lighting with presence sensors, fire detection alarm and suppression systems in server and bulk filing rooms, uninterrupted power supply and generator systems. This project was completed in 6 months.
