Triad Architects’ aim was to modernize the spaces (by using finishes with a neutral palette in the interior, high end sanitary ware, kitchen appliances, energy efficient lighting, sliding folding doors and open kitchen. As for the exterior, Traids’ aim was to water-proof the basements and swimming pool area, Landscaping, modernize the building façade and parking area. Triad Architects were involved in the interior fit-out of KMRC offices. The works included the design and execution of executive wing offices that had the C.E.O, chairperson, and boardroom. Open-plan spaces, server room, mother’s room, breakout area, store, and meeting rooms. Gypsum and glazed partitions were used for the walls while ceilings had gypsum bulkheads, acoustic ceilings panels, and timbers slats. Floor finishes were mainly carpet tiles, vinyl flooring for open plan spaces, and porcelain wood look tiles for high traffic areas. Several services were incorporated in the design such as air conditioning, access control, lighting with presence sensors, fire detection, alarm, and fire suppression system. This project was completed in 13 weeks period i.e. from 17th March 2020 to 16th June 2020. The design creates an open plan office with a relaxed and interactive working environment incorporating game walls, chill-out zones, focus booths, phone booths, breakout hub and meeting rooms. The design employs simple colour tones and focuses on the rich Kenyan African Heritage by use of artifacts and murals depicting the culture specifically of Maasai. The offices are access controlled with limited access to staff members only. Triad Architects worked closely with the other consultants and managed a successful completion of the fit-out in June, 2017. The learning and development centre was to have meeting rooms, a big breakout area, bulkfilling room and flexible training rooms that can be converted to one big training room using the sliding folding partitions. The construction had a tight timelines of 8 weeks. We are proud these timelines were met through weekly supervisions and regular inspections. Construction began in April 2015 and the site was handed over in June 2015. The final produce was an ultra modern, high standard Barclays Business School. The lounge has a new look and feel and the design creates a relaxed ambience for Safaricom Platinum customers with a water feature, to provide the calming ambience, service desks in rich mahogany finish and comfy lounge area. Entry into the lounge is only for platinum customers with access cards and members have a personal relationship manager, a direct customer care number and opportunity to preview and sample new devices before they are available to members of the public. The design employs simple colour tones and focuses on branding and one on one contact with the members. The lounge has Wifi among other goodies offered to it’s customers. Triad Architects were appointed to implement the refurbishment of the branch at Upper Hill in August 2013. Inline with the new brand image of the bank, the existing branch needed to be upgraded to potray the adopted brand standards. Construction began in February 2014 as a challenging phased project as the branch had to continue running. The first phase was completed in April 2014. The second and third phases commenced the last week of April 2014 and works were completed Mid June 2014. Triad Architects were involved in the interior fit out that covered 8 floors. The fit out included design of a variety of offices and open plan spaces, a server room, bulk filing rooms, cafeteria, board room, as well as various sized meeting rooms. Gypsum partitions were used for the general office partitions and masonry for server and bulk filing rooms. Raised floor plans and acoustic ceilings were used in all areas for convenient access for services and gypsum ceiling to create design features. Several services were incorporated in the design such as specialized air conditioning, access control, building management systems, lighting with presence sensors, fire detection alarm and suppression systems in server and bulk filing rooms, uninterrupted power supply and generator systems. The concept layouts and designs were developed by the client’s design hub in Hong Kong and had to be adapted to the site which the Bank’s new state of the art Headquarters sits. The construction completion had a very tight timeline dictated by the official opening of the building in mid June, 2011. We are proud that these timelines were met, through weekly supervision meetings and regular inspections. The final product was an ultra-modern state of the art banking environment delivered to the Bank’s new standard. In April, 2011, the new look customer experience center was born and Triad Architects were at the fore front of the designs. The shop design is based on the customer’s journey in experiencing secured live gadgets on display from the point of entry to the final service required. The design employs real time and live experience of the products on display, where sales and customer service team engages customers on walk-in sales queries, technical support and also focuses on branding and one-on-one contact with the customers. Triad Architects worked closely with the client and other consultant’s for the successful completion of the retail centre and officially opened up to the public by Safaricom C.E.O. The Block houses offi ces for the directors, outstation department, IS operations and development, E-Ticketing among others.
